3 billion people are still cooking over open fires and inefficient stoves. Cooking three daily meals over an open fire can be equal to smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. For rural families, smokey kitchens are a huge threat to their health, but are not a priority to fix. Affording things like food and school fees are the more important problems.

EcoZoom is working with Kiva to bring over 5,000 fuel efficient stoves to rural families in Kenya. We believe that cooking shouldn't be a threat to anyone's health, regardless of socio economic status. Our stoves reduce toxic smoke by 70%, and cut fuel consumption in half!

By lending as little as $25, anyone can help EcoZoom improve the lives of over 5,000 families. Our goal is to raise $50,000 as quickly as possible, and we have already raised over $3,000!

Kiva is an international nonprofit based in San Francisco. Their mission is to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. 100% of every dollar you lend through Kiva goes to funding loans. Kiva covers costs primarily through optional donations, as well as through support from grants and sponsors.
