EcoZoom is a social enterprise and certified B Corporation dedicated to bringing ecological products to the world. We believe that all people, regardless of socio-economic status, should have access to beautifully designed products that will improve their health, income and environment.

Improved cookstoves are essential to the conservation of our environment and the physical health of millions of people worldwide. Open fires and and traditional cookstoves are one of the planet's most significant environmental problems. Our range of clean cookstoves save people up to 70% on fuel consumption and produce 60% less smoke. This means that women and girls spend less time travelling long distances to collect firewood, and less time in the kitchen, leaving room for education and other activities. 

We began selling Solar Lights in June of 2016. An estimated 1.6 billion people were living without access to regular electricity in 2016. With our lights, users can charge their phones, listen to the radio and light their homes with one or more solar bulbs.

Developing Countries

More than 3 billion people – almost half the world’s population – do not have access to modern fuels like electricity and gas. Instead they cook with biomass, often on smoky three stone fires or inefficient, unimproved stoves. This results in huge impacts on people and the environment.

• Health: according to the WHO, smoke from fires and unimproved stoves is the equivalent of smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. Inhaling this smoke is linked to diseases that cause over 4 million deaths a year; more than malaria or tuberculosis combined.
• Social: women and girls can spend up to 4 hours a day gathering fuel, prohibiting them from attending school or participating in other economically productive activities. They are also increasingly at risk from gender-based violence as deforestation forces them to travel further from the safety of the village for fuel.
• Economic: where fuel is paid for, families can spend up to 30% of their monthly income to purchase it. Compare this to the US were the average person only spends 4% of their income on energy. This forces many into a cycle of energy poverty that is difficult or impossible to break.
• Environmental: the need for so much wood fuel and the production of charcoal contribute greatly to deforestation in developing countries. And the smoke from inefficient cooking is filled with methane, Co2 and other climate changing gases.

Developed Countries

In the US, Canada and Europe the need for our stoves is different. They are perfect for camping, backyard cooking or in case of an emergency. Portable, powerful, and easy to use; EcoZoom stoves create a real outdoor cooking experience that reconnects you with nature!

Unlike traditional outdoor stoves, EcoZoom stoves don't rely on propane or gas fuel. Instead, nature is your fuel and it is everywhere! Just a handful of sticks can cook an entire meal or boil water for your morning coffee. Our stoves use firewood, charcoal or solid biomass for fuel. They have a lifetime of up to 5 years, 10 if you treat them right! They are fuel efficient, durable, safe to use thanks to cool touch technology and silicone grips, and they cook faster than an open fire would!
